The researchers at the Oregon State University Department of Chemistry are working on a wide variety of exciting projects. These projects include studying how ocean aerosols impact the climate, recycling rare minerals with metal oxoclusters, inventing sensitive devices, and testing out teaching pedagogies. On Monday, March 16th, faculty from different disciplines of chemistry gathered to share what they’re working on in a series of lightning talks. These talks highlighted the vision, innovation, and progress happening in laboratories across the department. The expo also sparked interest between colleagues and laid the groundwork for future collaborations across campus.

After the expo, Department of Chemistry faculty and staff got a chance to unwind and connect at Memorial Union Lanes and Games. Participants got to know one another over snacks and rounds of bowling.

Thank you to everyone, faculty and staff, who took part in this event!
