AP Chemistry

Did you do well in AP chemistry? Want to get a head start on your college chemistry courses?

Why would you want to do that? Simple. College is better when you're challenged, not bored. Chances are, if you did well in your high school AP chemistry classes you will not be challenged in the normal general chemistry sequence. We also offer general chemistry classes in the summer, so you can focus on new and more exciting classes when you arrive in the fall.

There are three ways you can do this:

  1. Summer term: 1 year in 10 weeks – on campus (CH 231/261, 232/262, 233/263)
  2. Summer term: 1 year in 10 weeks – online lecture, on campus lab (CH 231e/261, 232e/262, 233e/263)
  3. Community college transfer to OSU

Newly admitted freshmen may need to change their admittance term in order to register for summer term classes. For more information on changing your admittance term please see the admissions website.

If you have any questions about starting your college experience early, please feel free to contact Senior Instructor Neal Sleszynski.

If you have questions about online class offerings, please contact chemistry.ecampus@oregonstate.edu.

Still not convinced? We've provided some previous year's exams and keys to help you determine your level of success.
