Students who plan to transfer to OSU and need one year of general chemistry (CH 121-123 or CH 231/261-233/263, previously CH 221-223) for their major at OSU (including science and pre-health majors, or for the chemistry minor) must take CHM 121 & CHM 123. This sequence meet the requirements for one year of college general chemistry or as a prerequisite for CH 331 or CH 334 at OSU.

Transfer students to OSU who need either CH 331-332 or CH 334-336 should take CHM 322 & 223. These two courses fulfill the requirements of organic chemistry for students who are required to take CH 331, 332, & 337 and for three "upper division" courses including one lab course for the chemistry minor and for chemistry majors who are required to take CH 334-336 & CH 361.

All other CHM courses from Lake County do not articulate as specific OSU courses and cannot be used for OSU chemistry requirements.

Notre Dame only teaches a single semester of general chemistry (CHEM 10181 & 11181) which transfers over to OSU as CH 231/261. To meet the requirements of majors needing a full year of general chemistry, students will need to start at OSU with CH 122 or CH 232/262. Additionally, CHEM 10171 & 11171 articulate as CH 121 which a student can continue with CH 122 or CH232/262.

For organic chemistry requirements, CHEM 10172, 11172 and 20283 articulates as CH 331, 332 and 337 which meets the requirements for some majors that need organic chemistry and also for the chemistry minor. Students needing to meet the requirements for a chemistry major will need to take CHEM 10182, 11182 and 20283. This articulates as CH 334-336 which comprises the organic chemistry lectures. Chemistry majors will still need to take CH 361 to complete the organic chemistry sequence for majors.

Students who plan to transfer to OSU and need general chemistry (CH 121-123 or CH 231/261-233/263, previously CH 221-223) for their major at OSU (including science and pre-health majors, or for the chemistry minor) must take CHM 103 and 104 or CHM 103 & 115 with lecture and lab. This sequence meets the requirements for one year of college general chemistry, as a prerequisite for CH 331 or CH 334 at OSU, and for the chemistry minor. The combination of CHEM 325 and 326 meet the requirements of the CH 331-332 and CH 334-336 organic chemistry sequences. To together they meet the requirement of CH 337 or CH 361 and OSU including for use of an UD lab for the chemistry minor.
