a MTH 112 can be taken for preparation for MTH 251 if score on the ALEKS Math Placement test is 59% or less; MTH 112 is not a required course for the chemistry degree.

b Bi314 is recommended as an elective to be taken before BB lecture series and it counts as a career supportive elective (CSE).
While BI 211, 212 and 213 are not requirements for the Advanced Biochemistry option in Chemistry, they are enforced pre-requisites for BI 314 (beginning S07). BI 211, 212, & 213 can be taken in any order.

c
Chemistry majors are strongly encouraged to take the chemistry major's orientation course, "Careers in Chemistry", fall term.  This is 1 cr (P/N)

d recommended as the Bacc Core biological science with lab course.

e CH 462 (W) or CH 464 (F) may be substituted as long as one additional WIC course is taken (CH 462 or CH 463 or CH 464).

f
As of spring 2009, BB 495 no longer offered and we are substituting BB 497 (1 cr) Fall plus BB 496 (1 cr) Winter. As of Fall 2015 BB 493/497 is only offered fall term and BB 494/496 is only offered winter term.

The order of courses is suggested but is very fairly critical because of prerequisites and the fact that most CH and BB courses are taught only one term per year.

Bacc core courses are not shown.
